SWEET MEMORIES OF CLASS 7th(First Time Jumping The Wall)

Hi Friends HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE LAST POST

COMING TO SCHOOL DAYS

Now I was no more alone on the land of SSK. As time pass by I had plenty of friends to talk, share, enjoy and fight. At the time of final examination people make time table for preparation of exams but we at SSK remains busy in making timetable for countdown to vacations i.e. DLTGH(Day Left To GO Home).

At the time of exams road to the temple become more crowded. Boy who never went to that place now comes to class with a long red coloured ‘TILEK’. Some use to light “agarbhattis” in their lockers in front of their favorite  GOD’S and GURU JI.

Once on exam day, after everyone went to class our matron who seem to be almost out of mind came to dorm for inspection. After reaching D-1 change room she smelled something and thereafter she was no less than James Bond. She found that smoke is coming out from one locker and without wasting fraction of time she emptied three-four buckets of water in that locker suspecting that it has caught fire. Latter after further investigation it was found that it was Rajender’s locker who lighted  bunch of “agarbhattis” on that day for exam and the smoke was raising from them. But our james bond interpreted something else in her mind.
Finally our countdown timetable read
DLTGH—1. Only one day was left to go home. Next day was our exam and after that we were allowed to go home.

The last day before vacation is no less then a big festival for kunjeans in junior classes and we celebrate it in a different way. We remains awake whole night and anyone who went to sleep his whole face use to be marked with marker making funny drawing on his entire face.
Finally we came home on season end vacation of 15 days. I was very happy to be at home and found my bicycle missing me. At home we fervor with enjoyment. Now I stopped loitering here and there in village. Mostly i pass my time watching tv or with my friend babloo. Only few days were left to back to school and this fear was not letting me to enjoy the holidays.Every morning I woke up mind start counting only 5 days, 4, 3, 2 and the last day arrives. Spending last was very tough; all day thinking tomorrow I have to go. I double check the date in calendar, pray to god ‘please don’t let this day to pass’. But who can challenge the time, one have to face it be it good or bad.
The fear was more as now we were going to be in class which was junior most injuniorsJuniors are from 7th to 9th and seniors are from 10th to 12th. On very first day at school we were shifted from D-1 to D-5 class with class 9th boys. I got change room along with my seven classmates.
Being in class 7th at any other school may be normal but here at SSK it is horrible.
In class 6th we were independent but here in class 7th we were under two senior classes and specially class 9th. Now one another damn thing was introduced which totally ruined our most expensive sleep on Sunday. Earlier I used to thought that swords made for king and warrior but here in ssk we found that these are used for cutting grass.
Again we were enrolled in new and difficult routine.
In the morning after PT we have to form squad and march towards classes and any mistake in marching May led to frog jump till classes. After reaching classes comes inspection of dress by class 9th house captain. Any item missing or improperly dress again resulted in frog jump followed by order "report me after lunch".
It was the word which totally ruined all day in the tension that I have to report my senior.
According to this we have to report to the concerned senior and he will decide punishment depending upon his mood.
The fear of reporting spoil all the day.
One more new thing was introduced that was "Fall in".
You may be thinking now what hell is this thing.
You are right this thing was no less than hell.
It means if any senior told us to fall in at any time because of some indiscipline we all have to go and in the long gallery of our dorm.
The structure if gallery seemed to be made for this purpose only.
Now the action began.
Senior come and order us to be cock, jumping, window practice ,half chair and many more and whatever he likes. The all process was termed as "RAGDA" in ssk. The time of RAGDA was horrible. In classes we use to discuss about RAGDA with other house guys. Initially it was very disturbing and painful but in due course of time it became routine.
Till now the word "CALL" we used for mobile phone purpose but here in ssk it has totally different meaning. Whenever any senior has got any work he will shout the number of room in which juniors are living and one boy from That room will be report to him immediately. His call may include "bringing water from water cooler","get his clothes ironed by dhobi " or any other work which he needs to be done.
Now to decide who will go to attend the call we use to divide the day among ourselves.
In class 7th our house master was mr R.k. KAUSHIK nik named "musa". He was such a bore person if u happen to stand in front of him for more than five minute then you may be in danger of fall in sleep even in standing position.

now the heat of discipline was doing its work. it was making us stronger day by day. Everyday was full of excitement, fear and risk.

now comes the risk taking capabalities  of a kunjean.

second sunday bears special introduction as it is PTM(parents teacher meeting) in ssk. Parents were only allowed to visit on this day.
once my parents were not able to visit me on ptm, so i was just loitering around with my friend Lakra and Khatkhar. while walking we reached to the oval which was at the west edge of school.

We heard many a times that this is the palace from where stundent jump the wall. we also thought of giving it a try. The heartbeat triggered even with the thought of doing it as punishment for a 7th class boy to jump the boundary was not even imaginable. but we decided to do it. first we argued on who will go first ,and we touch wall and come back several time then finally decided to do it. We giving the consequences a thought we three jumped it and other side of wall was a village callede "NAVEL". As wall was high so we directly fell on bushes on other side. the palace where we jumped was used to throw animal waste by villager. we got up and move a little ahead saw the villagers busy in their daily work , we just stood on the road for two minute and run back to wall. After coming back in school boundary there was a great sense of relief in heart. Now while walking back to dorm we were walking like as if we have won the battle . This was my first time , the fear was gone now.

now we use to jump the wall to take haircut outside and eat jalebi.

This was my first experiece of jumping the wall and i know every kunjean has a special memory in corner of his mind about his experience.
i hope u enjoyed it ............

  2. The first time I jumped the wall in class 10th. We were accompanied by two boys of my class who jumped the wall abd went all the way to go to delhi and appear in their FIT JEE entrance xam
Somehow we managed the roll call as the next day was Sunday and they were back by evening. Thinking about this seems subtle but if we look at this with that time frame , it was the biggest risk according to me.
